Would you agree with that?”Warhol: “Yes.”Interviewer: “Why do you agree?” Warhol: “Well, because it’s not original.” Interviewer: “You have just then copied a common item?” Warhol: “Yes.” Interviewer: “Why have you bothered to do that? Why not create something new?”Warhol: “Because it’s easier to do.” Interviewer: “Well, isn’t this sort of a joke then that you’re playing on the public?”Warhol: “No. It gives me something to do.”
